Yorkshire Day Celebrations

Ay Up!

Yorkshire Day has become a bit of a thing for Halifax. The town was heaving, celebrating everything we love about our County!

And we did the day ‘proper proud’ at the market too.

We had the unbelievably popular Market Tours (that included a tour of the unique ‘Street in the Sky) led by Market Manager John Walker (him in the dapper suit!).

There were loads of kids activities, music, pop up stalls, Jive Dancing, Phoenix Radio tasters from lots of the traders and special offer.

The Little ‘Un’s Market Challenge’ went way beyond our expectations too. Children (and competitive parents!) were given market maps with qustions to answer on the back like “How many different Pork Pies does Grosvenor’s sell?’ & “Ask Toffee Smith what their favourite sweet is”, and much more. The completed and got a prize. Every map we had was taken and filled in.

Kids also had Market Explorer T-shirts to customise. The child who came from furthest away was homme rolex datejust 16233 boitier 36 mm mouvement automatique cadran champagne a little girl on a visit from China,

and the oldest ‘kid’ to customise a t-shirt was the very lovely Helen – at 95 years old!),

There was also a balloon modeller and face painting.

Thank you to all customers who came along and air bar lux 1000 puffs disposable grape ice 500mah supported the market. We really appreciated seeing you all there.
